The Institute on Aging at the University of Florida announces a competition for Travel Grants to attend and present at the 2026 Gerontological Society of America Conference in National Harbor, MD. Applications are due Friday, July 24.
The UF IOA will award up to 3 grants of up to $1,500 each to assist UF graduate students, post-doctoral fellows or other trainees with travel to the 2026 GSA Annual Scientific Meeting to present original work related to aging and gerontology.
These grants are open to all UF graduate students, post docs and other trainees, regardless of discipline. The subject of the presentation or poster must be related to aging with priority given to research aligning with the IOA’s theme of preserving and restoring physical and cognitive function in older adults to enhance their health span and independence. If needed, the IOA encourages applicants to seek matching funds from other sources, including their department or college.
Applications will be reviewed and awardees announced by Friday, August 7, 2026. Awards will be provided as reimbursements, in accordance with University of Florida travel policies, upon submission of receipts.
