This past summer, the IOA held a competition for Travel Grants to attend and present at the 2026 Gerontological Society of America Conference in National Harbor, MD. The conference will take place November 4 to 7.
The IOA is excited to congratulate five recipients of this award, each of whom was awarded $1,000 to assist with travel to the 2026 GSA Annual Scientific Meeting to present original work related to aging and gerontology.
The recipients are:

- Ariana Burga, Department of Psychology
- Stefano Cacciatore, UF Institute on Aging
- Mark Viggars, Department of Physiology and Aging
- Keon Wimberly
